Participation at Carnot high school’s science fair

The Science Fair is a national event, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation since 1991. Each year, several scientific events are held throughout France and overseas. All events offer recreational activities, mainly free of charge.

This is a casual way to meet scientists, to discover their work and finally yet importantly explore Science!

The main goal of such an event is indeed to share knowledge between scientists and the civil society. It is also a unique opportunity to highlight the work of the scientific community and publicize scientific activities widely to a broader public. Last but not least, such an event may arise youth curiosity and even trigger an interest in a scientific career.

Students from the MP2 Master’s program have been taking part in this event since the beginning of the program. Last year, students from South Africa, Armenia and India run a recreational booth on candies at Carnot secondary school. This year, due to Covid 19, the science fair has been cancelled but students had prepared a very playful workshop about bread, which will hopefully be displayed next year!
