Dijon is the 8th city in France to get around best without a car, and the 10th city where life and work are bests!
Engineering students, if single, can be housed in studette in the residence Magon, located 100m from L’Institut Agro Dijon. It has accommodation of 16 m² including bed, desk, storage, kitchenette and bathroom. Premises are also available to all: kitchen, laundry, gym, etc.
Accommodation is guaranteed for incoming students on international exchange programs, but is not guaranteed for students who register individually.

These prices are available for a school year duration, if you intend to remain in France for less than a semester, check this directly with the residences.

During your stay in France, you will have to be insured to prevent the possible risks (accident, problem with housing, etc.). The two main insurances are the following ones:
– Liability insurance coverage
Anyone can unintentionally cause harm to others. Civil liability defined by law, creates the obligation to repair the caused damage. Insurers usually include a personal property liability guarantee in multi-risk home insurance, so be sure to check if your contract includes it.
– Home insurance
The rental risk guarantee is an obligation. The home insurance policy can be done with your bank or a private insurer and an online subscription is often possible:

Social security
Social security has become free for everyone, regardless of your age. However, you will have to pay for the Student Life and Campus Contribution (CVEC), which costs 90€.
After your payment, a certificate will be sent to you, which must be presented during your university registration.
Health insurance
The health insurance is an organization that is responsible for paying you back after a medical consultation, in case the social security does not support your entire visit. The subscription costs about 30 € per month. It is strongly recommended to subscribe one, especially if you have a weak health. There are several:

Count about 40 € per month for transport (+ 5 € of personal card to pay once.)
Good to know: when you registered for monthly or annual subscription, you are part of the Divia Club, which gives you promotional offers in many shops and dijonese life places!
There are several university restaurants on campus, as well as cafeterias and student food trucks.

For 3.25 €, you can choose :
- The “traditional ” formula with a complete meal, by composing your menu as you wish, on the basis of: appetizer, hot dish, bread, cheese or yogurt and dessert of your choice.
- “Pizza, fresh pasta or Crous burger formula” depending on the restaurant.
- The “sandwich + drink + dessert” formula in cafeterias that provide fast food.
At any time of the day, cafeterias offer various sandwiches, pastries and hot and cold drinks.
The University campus is now “Zero Cash” !
To pay, two solutions are available :
